Bac Ninh: Inauguration of the Temple of Grand Chancellor Ly Thuong Kiet
On April 1, Yen Phong district (Bac Ninh) held the inauguration ceremony of the Temple and Monument of Thai Uy Ly Thuong Kiet located in the tourist, historical and cultural area of the Nhu Nguyet Frontline in Tam Giang commune.
Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security, representatives of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Bac Ninh province; Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, authorities and many people of Tam Giang commune attended.
To honor and express gratitude for the contributions of Ly Thuong Kiet and the Ly Dynasty to the history of the nation's resistance against foreign invaders, the Investment Project to build the Ly Thuong Kiet Temple in Tam Giang Commune, Yen Phong District was approved by the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province, including 20 items with a total investment of more than 254 billion VND. The project implementation period is from 2016 to 2020.
This is one of the six key projects of the province. After more than a year of construction, the Project has completed the main Temple of Thai Uy Ly Thuong Kiet built on an area of 800m2, in the shape of the letter "cong", 7 front rooms, 5 back rooms, worth more than 41 billion VND donated by Hung Ngan Housing and Trade Investment Joint Stock Company and SHB Bank (Saigon - Hanoi).
The statue of Thai Uy Ly Thuong Kiet is 9 meters high, made of bronze, weighs 16 tons, and is worth 16 billion VND donated by An Vien Company, Hanoi. Some other auxiliary items are still being completed. The Temple, the Statue of Thai Uy Ly Thuong Kiet and some auxiliary items have been completed, ensuring the historical, quality, technical and aesthetic value of the project.
After the inauguration of Ly Thuong Kiet Temple, other construction items in the project to build the Nhu Nguyet Frontline Cultural and Historical Tourist Area continued to be completed and put into operation and use.
This project aims to express deep gratitude for the contributions of Thai Uy Ly Thuong Kiet to the history of the nation, educating the tradition for future generations to follow in the footsteps of their fathers and brothers in the work of building and protecting the homeland and country.
