Main contents adjusted to conform to the Project to adjust the Bac Ninh Provincial Regional Planning approved by the Prime Minister

1. Adjusting the planning scope and boundaries: The planning scope and planning adjustment boundaries are adjusted from 3 administrative units of Bac Ninh city, Tien Du district, Tu Son town, and 03 communes of Que Vo district to 05 administrative units of Bac Ninh city, Tien Du district, Tu Son town, Que Vo district, and Yen Phong district.

2. Adjusting the planning scale: Planning area from 26,326 ha to about 49,137 ha; forecast population by 2035 from about 1,340,000 to about 1,430,000 people.

3. Adjust the planning period: From short-term to 2020, long-term to 2030, planning vision to 2050 to short-term to 2022, long-term to 2035, planning vision to 2050

4. Adjusting planning objectives: Building and developing Bac Ninh urban area to become a class I urban area directly under the Central Government, creating a premise for building Bac Ninh province to become a city directly under the Central Government by 2022.

5. Adjust and supplement planning characteristics: As an economic center of the Capital region, the Northern key economic region, the development center: High-tech industry, trade, tourism and knowledge economy.

6. Adjust and supplement the planning vision to 2050: Become a smart city, a large city in the Capital region, with strong competitiveness with other cities in the country and the Asia-Pacific region.

7. Review, forecast, and propose adjustments to planning indicators to meet the criteria for a type 1 city directly under the Central Government according to Resolution 1210/2016/QD-UBTVQH13 dated May 25, 2016, and the standards of a city directly under the Central Government.
